In the land of the Philippines, the white guy is on TV. The GMA network needed some white guys (any type of foreigner) to play soldiers getting slaughtered by Lapu-Lapu and I got lucky enough to be one of those dead guys.
They payed for us to stay at this sweet resort. Free food. And hanging out at the beach for two days.
The pool is always my #1 priority for staying somewhere.
Dudes-A-Plenty watching the sun set
This beach had a big tide pool which made some awesome sunsets. Almost made me go gay.
Some of the rooms were huts on stilts with a hammock below them.
Sunset on the South China Sea
We woke up at 4 am for make-up and costumes
I got a tattoo of a mouse stuck in a mouse trap, and another mouse is behind it...
This is the beach where we filmed the battle
Our make-up is supposed to look like we have sun burn and freckles. Who knew you could get a real sunburn underneath a make-up sunburn?
This location was so perfect. Two different coves with nice sand beaches, some cliffs to jump off of between takes, a sea cave, and some naked mermaids (photo missing).
They painted our teeth to make them look rotten. I really prepared for this role by not brushing for the past 8 months.
1 whole day of shooting right on the beach. We were soaked and covered with sand and blood, but it was the most fun I have had in a long time. They video is for the GMA "Station Identification" which they play with the national anthem at the start and end of the day on TV and at the start of movies in the theaters. So all of my fans will get to see this ugly grimace everyday when they wake up, and before they fall asleep.
